My name is Drew and I am the person behind the tiger. Why a tiger? I’m sure many of you will have come across Judith Kerr’s children’s book about a tiger who visits (*Spoiler Alert*) for tea and eats all the food in the house (even all the water in the tap).  This was one of my wife’s favourite books growing up and, as somebody who will rather cook and eat whatever is in the house than go shopping, I am inevitably compared to the Tiger on a regular basis.

The aim of this blog is to write about food that excites me.  I love travelling and discovering new dishes. Once I’m home again I try to recreate some of them and, if they work, I’ll tell you about them here. If like me, you are always looking forward to your next meal, then I hope you will enjoy reading this blog. I will not copy or rewrite other people’s recipes but where I have used part of or been inspired by a recipe I will reference or link them.  All photos were taken by myself. Not all posts will contain recipes but all will be about food or drink!

I am not a chef or a journalist, so bear with me.  Please comment or email me with any thoughts positive or negative, I will try to reply to all (no promises).

  1. Great blog Old Sport! You should write your own cookbook since you seem like a really good cook! 🙂
